Baby-Dedication Services
The examples the innovators point to - 1 Sam. 1:27-28 & Lk. 2:22 both are passages which are in the setting of the Old Testament.

1 Sam. 1:27-28 & Lk. 2:22 do not authorize local churches to hold baby-dedication services any more than they authorize local churches to engage in animal sacrifice - 1 Sam. 1:24-25; Lk. 2:24.

There is not a command, approved example, or even a necessary conclusion authorizing a local church to have a baby-dedication service -
Col. 3:17; 1 Cor. 4:6.

Baptism
You must be baptized properly to be saved - Mk. 16:16; 1 Pet. 3:20-21.

Proper baptism is immersion in water for alien sinners who can understand the truth -
Rom. 6:1-5; Acts 10:47; Col. 2:11-12.

One must be baptized to access the grace of God -
2 Tim. 2:1; Rom. 6:3; Gal. 3:27.

Proper baptism is not an option. It is a
command to be obeyed - Acts 10:48.

Benevolence

Non-Christian widows may be rendered benevolence by individuals (

The good in Gal. 6:10, contextually, refers to restoring the erring back to God - Gal. 6:1.

Even if
Gal. 6:10 were discussing benevolence, all that the passage would authorize is individual responsibility - Gal. 6:1-8.

That
Gal. 6:10 is discussing individual responsibility may be seen by noting that Paul was not a member of any local churches in Galatia, yet he says “we” & “us” - Gal. 6:9-10.

If local churches can do anything Jesus did (as is asserted regarding feeding non-christians) then they can take the Lord’s Supper on another day than Sunday -
Mt. 26:17-39.

If local churches can do anything Jesus did (as is asserted regarding feeding non-christians) then they can remove sins at their will -
Mt. 9:6.

The word used to describe “nation” in
Acts 24:17 can, and does at times, refer to Christians only - 1 Pet. 2:9.

One cannot attend such in a building owned by either denominationalists or brethren and not bid godspeed to what they perceive to be good works (using the building for such) -
2 Jn. 9-11.

Jesus had strong feelings for those who engaged in innovations in the name of religion -
Mt. 21:12-13; Jn. 2:13-17.

One could show up at such if the purpose was to stand up and sharply rebuke everything that was going on (they’d likely get thrown out) -
ibid; Acts 19:21-28; 13:14-15, 44; Tit. 1:13.

Attending a liberal/denominational funeral (in any setting) is giving false comfort to the erring -
Jer. 6:14.

Attending a liberal/denominational funeral (in any setting) is strengthening the hand of evildoers -

Attending a liberal/denominational funeral (in any setting) is fellowship with devils (even if the participator is ignorant of such) -
